Choosing a Non-stick Cookware Set

24.06.2009 14:33

It is a good idea to check on cookware set reviews before choosing one particular pand or set. These reviews usually give what the experts say about the sets as well as giving customer satisfaction points and comments about the different sets. There are so many different pands that make non-stick cookware sets that it can be confusing to choose one. There are some that can cost over two thousand dollars whereas others can cost as little as twenty-five dollars. It is tempting to go with the set that has the most pieces in it, however, the quality of the materials that are used in the set should be the determining factor, as the cheaper sets with more pieces in them will scratch and wear out quickly, whereas the better quality sets can last a lifetime.

Different Choices

One type of non-stick cookware set is made by Paula Deen. This is a ten piece set and it has three different sizes of saucepans, a large stock pot and a skillet. The great thing about this set is that it can be found at Walmart and is often found on sale. It is usually priced around one hundred dollars, which is about average for a quality set. This particular set is as decorative as it is quality, as it has a porcelain exterior to the set in different colors but the interior is what makes it a non-stick cookware set. The lids to all the pieces in the set are made of glass which is convenient to watching the foods cooking inside of the pots without letting out the heat. The handles are duel riveted so that they are secure to grip when cooking the different foods. The pots are also safe in the oven up to three hundred fifty degrees.

Another non-stick cookware set is made by Tramontina. This set has twelve pieces in it and it costs about one hundred fifty dollars. This set is made not only as non-stick cookware, but it is also made of heavy gauge aluminum, which heats quickly and provides and even amount of heat throughout the cooking surface in the various pots and pans. Another more expensive non-stick cookware set is the KitchenAid sixteen piece set. This set is made of hard anodized aluminum which is dispersed evenly throughout the base and sides of the pots and pans. This set costs two hundred fifty dollars and comes with a limited lifetime warrantee.
