Although Rubbermaid microwave cookware used to be recommended as one of
the top brands that could be found on the market, today it is not a viable
option for those that are looking for microwave oven cookware.
Unfortunately, the only Rubbermaid microwave cookware that can be found is
on online auction sites where individuals are working to sell the products
that they have.
There are some devices that are found on these sites in Rubbermaid
microwave cookware, such as the cookware rack or the steamer insert.
Unfortunately, however, buying a Rubbermaid microwave cookware set is not
to be found on the market today where other brands such as Tupperware have
taken over.Other OptionsBesides the Rubbermaid microwave cookware sets
that used to be used, today there are plenty of other options that can be
found through other brands.
In addition, rather than having all the sets be composed of plastic,
there are sets that are made of stoneware or composite materials that
allow individuals the option of cooking in the oven as well as the
microwave with the same bowls and containers.
One option that can be found on Ebay at times is the Rubbermaid
microwave cookware rack. This rack can be used in the microwave or in the
oven as long as the temperatures do not go higher than four hundred
degrees. The microwave cookware rack by Rubbermaid can be used in a
variety of ways, either to cook food on top of it or by placing it inside
of another container so that the oils and fats will drain into the rack
instead of being cooked into the food.
There is also a Rubbermaid microwave cookware steamer insert that can
be found on some online auctions. This insert can be used in a variety of
different microwaveable containers where noodles or vegetables are being
cooked. By placing the insert into the container, the items can be
strained when the container is lifted out of the other one containing the
water. The insert can also be used to sit a little above the water so that
the vegetables are steamed by the water that boils beneath them since it
comes up through the cracks of the Rubbermaid microwave cookware steamer
insert.
It seems that Rubbermaid decided to get out of the microwave cookware
market and stick to other containers such as garbage cans. This is
unfortunate for those who have grown to love the Rubbermaid brand and
their older products and are having to change to other brands when
replacements are needed. |
